Unprecedented times have been happening for what seems like forever now. Our entire world has been turned upside down. Because my husband and I are both essential personnel, we are still reporting to work. The days seem longer and the stress is at an all time high. I just relish in the weekends when we can spend time together as a family. Today i’m bringing you what i’m loving right now – during quarantine. The little things that are bringing me some normalcy and sanity – until I can start my Target fun runs again.

Target Drive Up and Grocery Pickups – Quarantine Musts
If you don’t use grocery pick up, are you even a mom?! Just kidding – but let’s be honest, this had to be created with moms in mind. I have been using grocery pick up long before this COVID-19 mess. Who wants to go to the grocery store with a toddler who could shift change at any minute? NOT ME.
Target Drive Up is my other go-to. I would use it occasionally before the virus, but Target is my happy place so I definitely prefer to roam the aisles in store – for hours. They have wifi, which comes in handy for when the little one gets antsy. I can whip out Peppa Pig or The Incredibles on my phone. Then there’s Starbucks, because a mocha cookie crumble frap is just what this mama needs and Jaxson loves his cake-pop. Drive Up has definitely made me happy these days – I can shop Target online then pickup in store! Be sure to download the Target app because that is the only way you can utilize Drive Up.
Pickups are the way of life these days and have become such a convenience and a sure way to social distance. If you haven’t tried either of these, I highly recommend trying them out!
Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish
Never did I think I’d be painting my nails myself, at home – because when I have in the past, they looked awful .The polish would chip and end up being a waste of time. I love getting my nails done, but since becoming a mom, making it to the salon every two weeks became tough.
All hail Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish. I’ll just go ahead and say, i’m SOLD. I saw this floating around online, so I looked it up at Target. The reviews were great so I placed my drive up for one color and the top coat – along with some other things of course. The polish is oh so easy to apply and once you place the top coat, the drying time is freaky fast. No UV lights or sitting under dryers for 20+ minutes needed. The polish can be removed easily with an acetone polish remover. I used that and some cotton pads to remove my first color. I’m currently on my second – Haute to Trot (perfect for Summer) and I love it!
My Adidas Slides and Ugg Slippers
Loungewear is at an all time high these days. We all love it and always have but now that we’re at home more, it’s all we’re wearing. The Ugg Scuffette has been my go-to for the last few years. They’re so cozy, comfortable and just under $100. I decided I wanted to try a different pair for Spring/Summer. I added the Ugg Fluff Slide to my birthday wish list and my husband delivered. Also just under $100, I love these! They’re so comfortable, easily slip on and off and since my toes are out, they’re perfect for the warmer weather days but still keep my feet cozy on our hardwood floors. I definitely recommend!
Now, the classic Adidas slides. These shoes have been around for years and years. The perfect shower and poolside shoe. Adidas was having an awesome loungewear sale, so my husband and I ordered some items and we both got a pair of slides – twinning! I love slipping these on to go outside and they’re so comfortable. They’re the perfect shoe for my husband to wear to and from the golf course. You can find these in different colors!
My New Front Porch Rugs
I will say i’m definitely a little late into the game with decorating my porch for Spring/Summer. But, I do not like to put items out until the pollen is gone – because let’s be honest, that is a mess. Who wants to clean all of that? Not Me. Over the weekend I did another one of my Target Drive Up orders for two rugs I ordered online. I went with the layered doormat look, but this time I opted for a larger rug. I LOVE IT!
If you have a larger porch and the space for it, I recommend trying out a larger rug at your front door. It adds more character plus covers a larger space. The rug size I went with is a 5’7″.
All Things Outdoor For The Little One’s
Being stuck inside with a toddler can get old real quick. Their attention span is short lived and it’s hard to not whip out the Ipad when you feel like you’re losing at this thing called parenthood. I do it, we all do it. Now that the warmer days are finally here in North Carolina, we are utilizing every moment we can outside.
The inflatable pool with slide has been my son’s favorite. Plus, It’s nice for mama too because I can somewhat relax while he plays – close by of course, constantly saying, “don’t splash me”. The play-set and trampoline are getting lots of love too. Jaxson will stay on his “jump jump” for a while, but it still doesn’t wear him out. Does anything? Also, we love the the ride on jeep – complete with a remote control for the parents. This is fun for everyone! It even has a built in radio so my son is definitely riding around the yard in style.
These times have been tough on everyone, a complete culture shock. Finding ways to keep your sanity and just enjoying being at home can be tough. These are just some of the things that I’m loving right now – during quarantine. In need of a DIY craft? Check out my DIY table-runner made with paper doilies.
