As moms we are in our kitchens, a lot. Possibly more than anywhere else in our home (other than the laundry room, blah). This is because we are usually the ones prepping, cooking and cleaning for the family. The items in this post are my must have kitchen basics. They make being in my kitchen all the time a little bit easier. Plus, I love having pretty items to work with!

Griddle
I use my griddle…A LOT! Like every weekend. I love making pancakes using my homemade pancake recipe and this makes it easy for cooking a batch all at once! It’s awesome for making french toast and cooking up grilled cheese sandwiches! A griddle is also great for cooking up a batch of scrambled eggs for a crowd.
Every Day Baker Set of 3
These just might be my favorite items in my kitchen! I seriously use them all the time. The white is gorgeous, especially sitting in my glass cabinets. They also clean up extremely well!
Nesting Mixing Bowl Set
This set of mixing bowls is so simple yet so durable! I love the five different sizes that come in this set, this makes it easy to meal prep. Anytime i’m whisking up something, i’m using these mixing bowls.
Covered Casserole Dishes
Headed to a potluck or a dinner party? Covered dishes are my go to for that! This 3-quart piece is great for a large dish for a large group and the 1-quart is so cute and perfect for a small dip. Both come complete with lids. These are oven save so you can bake and take!
White Coffee Mugs
It’s obvious I have a thing for white kitchenware. It’s just so pretty, especially when on display. These mugs are so simple and come out clean every single time! The handles are a great size so your fingers don’t feel cramped when you’re sipping away!
Cutting Board
Wood cutting boards are so gorgeous! To keep them looking gorgeous though, they do come with a little upkeep, like oiling them often. I also have a non-wood cutting board. Sometimes I want to slice and chop quick and be able to through the board in the dishwasher. I love this one – you get the beautiful marble look at a cost-effective price!
Cast Iron Skillet
A cast iron skillet is seriously one of the most versatile items in a kitchen. It can used for anything! I use mine often – especially for making this family sized, kid friendly spaghetti and meatballs. So delicious! I’ve also done steaks and a delicious blueberry cobbler in mine. If you are unsure about how to clean your cast iron, check out this pin on Pinterest. A cast iron skillet will last your lifetime and more if cared for correctly!
Wood Utensils
Wood kitchen utensils are so pretty, they fit into any kitchen decor. So pretty, that they’re often left out on kitchen counters as decor centerpieces. I love using wooden utensils for salad serving. They really give your salad a pop when serving guests!
Glass Storage Containers
Glass storage containers are used in my house daily. A couple of years ago I realized constantly heating the same plastic storage bowl in the microwave over and over again wasn’t good for anyone. So, I switched to glass. I love them! Glass storage containers are so sturdy and easy to cleanup. I also use them for taking my lunch to work!
Keurig (or anything that brews – Moms need a little help)
Are you a coffee drinker? Hello motherhood! Let me tell you, our Keurig must get more use out of anything else in our kitchen! I’m sipping on a cup of joe right now as a type this. A cup of coffee just gives me that cozy feeling plus a splash of energy. My husband really loves pour over coffee!

I would love to hear your basic kitchen “must haves”. Sound off in the comments! If you haven’t already, head on over to see my eucalyptus home decor that sits on our dining table. It’s a beautiful decorative piece for year round!
